I thought the site had gone kaput. I know what you mean about passing on the "bad" traits...On the flip side, how about the parents who want to fulfill their dreams (at least on some subconscious level) through their kids? We want our kids to love what we love, etc...in essence, wanting to pass on our tastes. And it is frustrating when something that may mean so much to us may mean nothing to them.
